DZYNE Brings Advanced Visual Analytics to the Transportation Industry

FAIRFAX, VA, August 1, 2015 – DZYNE Technologies completed a Phase I Small Business Innovation Research for the Federal Transit Administration that prototyped an innovative software-based tool called Passenger Analytics Advance Sensing (PAAS). This tool accurately determines the number of passengers using vehicles such as buses and trains in busy transportation systems. PAAS provides insightful patterns and trends in passenger utilization. The information generated by PAAS can lead to improved operating efficiency, increased client satisfaction and greater profitability. With little to no modification required for vehicles that are currently equipped with surveillance cameras, PAAS has the added advantages that it can also be used with any video data sets, past or present, and without burdensome calibration.Ward Page, DZYNE Technologies Vice President, is excited by his team’s success in prototyping PAAS on a compressed research and development schedule.

“Our staff specializes in the development and application of advanced sensing and intelligent analytics to defense problems. With PAAS, DZYNE’s Analytic Systems Division is demonstrating the positive impact of dual-use technologies while strategically diversifying DZYNE’s technology portfolio.” said Page.
