Position Description   

  • Inventory Management and Control (60%)
    • Responsible for the management and control of expendable material
    • Maintains accurate inventory records and resolves any discrepancies
    •  Perform physical receipt of materials
    • Serves as the point of contact for the coordination of material support and resolution of logistic problems
    • Conducts forecasting and quantitative analysis
    • Conducts spot checks; and ensures compliance with DCMA, DFARs and FAR property management requirements
  • Procurement Execution and Analysis (25%)
    • Review requisitions for purchased items, manage approval process, transmit and prioritize approved purchase orders to the chosen supplier, track order acknowledgements, prepare and communicate shortage and back order reports
    •  Track orders and confirm delivery dates and costs
    • Review, update, and maintain purchase orders until they are fully completed
    • Ensure orders adhere to supplier agreements and contracts
    • Identify opportunities and implement actions to achieve efficiencies
    • Provide ad hoc procurement reports to program managers
  • Business Process Analysis and Improvement (15%)
    •  Identify inefficiencies in business procedures, present and implement potential solutions
    • Analyze and resolve corporate business risk areas and mitigate issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of DCMA, FAR/DFAR and ITAR export regulations highly preferred
  • Knowledge of basic accounting concepts preferred
  • Expert knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office Professional Suite to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Typical Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, certification in Inventory and Warehouse Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One to Three years of relevant work experience relating to inventory management and control and/or procurement
  • Experience using an ERP system
  • Ability to self-manage in a fast paced environment
