Position Description

The Corporate Facility Security Officer (FSO) is responsible for implementing and directing the industrial security program and ensuring company and customer security requirements are met. The successful candidate will interface with all levels of DZYNE Technologies personnel and government management personnel to ensure contract security compliance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254) and Program Classification Guides. The position requires a self-motivated candidate that is capable of working in an independent or team environment with minimal direction. The candidate will be required to develop processes and procedures, conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements. The FSO must possess the confidence to make critical security decisions concerning contracts and to implement security procedures that will prevent unauthorized access to company and government facilities or information.

  • Thorough working knowledge of the NISPOM, other relevant DoD security guidance as well as the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) standards

  • Strong understanding of Physical Security requirements to include: collateral Closed Areas, JAFAN and ICD 705 to meet contractual needs Ability to manage SAP programs, if needed

  • Thorough understanding of security databases such as JPAS, eQIP, NISS and ISFD Administer day-to-day security programs: personnel processing, program reviews, document control system, audits & self-inspections, violation investigations & reports, receipt/dispatch/destruction/mail logs, visit certs, etc.

  • Experience creating and conducting initial security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, pre/post-foreign travel briefings and refresher briefings, as appropriate

  • Ability to develop and establish an effective security awareness, training, and education program

  • Knowledge of COMSEC Custodian duties

  • Prior ISSO/ISSM or alternate ISSO/ISSM experience

  • Experience developing and implanting OPSEC plans

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Industrial Security. Strong communications skills, both oral and written, FSO certification with minimum 5 years of experience as an FSO.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industrial Security Professional (ISP) Certification,

  • Courier preparation procedures

  • Knowledge of Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems

  • Experience conducting investigations, resourceful in solving problem and capitalizing on opportunities, professional Certifications/Affiliations

Typical Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in Security Administration or related area. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
